Overview

The therapeutic process is a journey of self-discovery, insight, and growth. I believe the path to wellness is through the balance of mind, body and spirit.  By taking an integrative holistic approach, my practice allows for unique and unlimited potential. My belief is that one of the most important aspects of the process of change is rooted in the working relationship between the psychotherapist and the client.  As a result, the intention in the therapeutic relationship is for each person to feel heard, validated and respected. While engaging in the therapeutic process with mindful introspection and honest conversation you have the potential to heal, transform and grow. During our time together, I will hold space for you and guide you where you need to go, but may be afraid to go. 

 Because each individual, situation and circumstance is unique, together we will customize your individual treatment needs by utilizing a variety of theoretical approaches, tools and interventions. Throughout this journey my goal is for you to discover your unrealized talents, capacities and strengths, which will empower you to live the life you want to be living.

As a result of my education, work and life experiences I am able  to create a compassionate, safe  and non-judgmental space for exploring, learning and growing along the path to health, wellness and happiness.

Talk Therapy / Psychotherapy

Talk therapy, as the name suggests, is therapy based on the simple idea that talking about your thoughts and emotions can bring you clarity and cause a positive change in your emotions. It is also known as psychotherapy. Talk therapy is what most people think of when they hear the word therapist or counselor. It is a conversation between client and therapist, discussing the person's thoughts or challenges and working together to find insights and solutions.

Art Therapy

Sometimes it may difficult to find the words to verbalize all that you hold in your head and in your heart. As a Clinical Art Therapist, I will help you find ways to express your thoughts, feelings, fears and emotions as well as explore solutions. It is through the use of the art materials, the creative journey and the resulting art work that allow for healing, transformation and well-being.
